Hawaii prints mounted and framed on eco-friendly board

Recently, I had one of my Hawaii prints framed and mounted on board. This is an eco-friendly product made by a company called DuraPlaq™. This company is located in Greeley, Colorado.

I have been searching for a long time for the perfect way to get a perfect print and to display this perfect print, perfectly. Well I think I have found it! This is an HDR image of a sunset I saw while on my honeymoon in Wailea, Maui. The color, depth and overall quality of this print are almost unbelievable.

Getting one of my Hawaii prints ordered from DuraPlaq was easy. First, they created an account where I could upload my image. After I uploaded the image, I called them to discuss the specifications for my print and to choose my product. My final Hawaii print measured 25-1/4″w x 34-3/4″h and the product I chose is called MegaPlaq. From the DuraPlaq website, “The material is made out of recycled, eco-friendly wood coated with an acid-free protection and moisture barrier.” I chose a black edge color with a satin finish. There are many edge colors to choose from including black, white, antique cherry, flag blue, granite, Vegas gold, rocky mountain pine and more. I was also able to talk to the printer who confirmed the proof. The order took about 1-1/2 weeks to go through and to arrive on my doorstep, here in Austin, Texas. The shipping crate was well built and the print arrived in perfect condition. They also offer return services for the shipping crates. This way they can be sent back to DuraPlaq to be used again for another order. Hanging the print was easy and straightforward. The frame hangs on a wall using a French cleat. With a power screwdriver, drill and level, it was up in no time! You can view pictures of one of my Hawaii prints below.
