Video of a tornado forming over Cedar Park, Texas around 8pm on June, 11, 2009.
I was located near Anderson Mill Rd and Parmer Ln in NW Austin. I was facing N / NW toward Avery Ranch Blvd and Parmer Ln.
You can see the tornado trying to form and reach up into the cloud above.
Unfortunately, I only got a couple of seconds of the actual tornado before my memory card filled up…next time I will have a larger card ready! You can also hear my wife in the background yelling for me to step inside and take shelter…smart idea!
Once I got a new memory card in, I stepped out into my backyard and it looks like the tornado had fallen apart.
The weather service tracked this tornado through Round Rock and into Austin where it diminished into a severe thunderstorm.
We only got small pea-sized hail at our home.
