Bridge of the Gods – Cascade Locks, OR

This is a view taken from the end of the small island this is a part of the Cascade Locks Marine Park.

There is a Native American legend regarding this area.

You can see my hotel on the left and a train passing by. ( BTW – I had a great stay at the Best Western here…they have recently renovated it and it was really comfortable.)

There wasn’t anybody down at the end of this point so it was really quiet and all I could hear was the Columbia River rolling by.

I waited for about an hour for the sunset to light up the clouds, but this never happened.
